# Can I add extra documents/evidence to my existing claim?

Your ability to update your claim depends on your situation.
**If you’ve filed a claim and want to completely change your provided details or documents**, you'll need to request to withdraw your claim and then submit a new claim.
**If you’ve received an email from XCover requesting additional documentation**, you must reply directly to the email they sent you. A response is required to that email for their Claims Team to complete your claim assessment.
**If you've filed a claim and wish to upload additional documents on your own (i.e. you are not required by XCover to do so)**, follow these steps:
1. Go [XCover's form](https://www.xcover.com/en-us/claim-info) to submit additional info
1. Enter your full name, the email, and phone number associated with your Link account
1. Enter your XCover Reference Number. This can be found in any emails you've received fromXCover.
1. Enter your Claims Reference Number in the comments box. This can be found in any claims emails you've received from Link or XCover.
1. Upload your additional evidence / documents, then click **Submit**
