# Connected apps

Connected apps are a secure way for you to connect your Link account to trusted third-party apps.
They allow you to share important information, like payment methods and shipping addresses, to make your online shopping easier and more efficient.

## How do connected apps work?
When you connect your financial account to a third-party app using your Link account, you go through a secure financial connections process. This process involves granting the app permission to access specific data from your financial account.
You’ll be shown what data is being requested and can decide whether to allow this access.
## Which third-party apps can I connect to my Link account?
You can connect your Link account to several approved apps, including services like Meta and Phantom.
## How do I connect my Link Wallet to a third-party app?
As you proceed with your purchase, if you have a Link account, your email will be recognized and automatically pre-filled as part of the checkout process.
You’ll then complete the Link OTP step to finalize your transaction as usual. During this process, you may notice a Link logo indicating that the Link connection is being established. Once the transaction is successfully completed, you’ll remain logged into Link for any future eligible transactions with that app.
## Can I see which apps are currently connected to my Link account?
Yes. View all your connected apps in [Link Settings](https://app.link.com/settings) under **Apps and agents**.
This makes it easy to keep track of your connections.
## How is my data protected when connected to third-party apps?
We serve consumer data through public APIs to third-party apps. These apps need to include both their own authentication (standard Stripe API keys) and the grant they received from consumers (OAuth token) when accessing the public APIs. If any of these credentials fail validation, we block the API access.
## What happens to my data if I disconnect an app?
If you disconnect an app, any data that was previously shared will no longer be accessible to that third-party app. We ensure that your data remains protected, and disconnecting an app effectively terminates their access to any information linked to your Link Wallet.
## What happens to my shared data if I delete or reset my Link account?
Once you delete or reset your Link account, the connection to the third-party application will be revoked. To reconnect, you’ll need to go back to the third-party application where the original connection was made and establish the connection again.
## Can I control what information I specifically share with connected apps?
Yes, you’re in control of sharing your data with third-party applications. However, while you can choose whether to connect your Link account to an app, you can’t selectively choose specific pieces of data to share. Instead, when connecting, you’ll be presented with a list of data that the app requests access to, and your consent is required to proceed with sharing that information.
This means you’re always making an informed choice about the connection, but you’ll need to authorize the entire set of requested data. If you have any concerns, you can easily revoke access at any time.
## How do I disconnect an app that I no longer want to use?
To disconnect an app, follow these steps:
1. Open the Link App and navigate to **Settings**.
1. Select **Apps and agents** to see a list of your connected apps.
1. Tap on the app you want to disconnect.
1. Click on the **Revoke Access** option to terminate the connection.
## What data is being shared with the third-party apps?
When you connect your Link account to third-party apps, specific data may be shared to enhance your experience based on your connection:
### User info
* Shares your name, email, phone number, avatar, and saved addresses to allow the app to view and manage your profile.
### Know your customer (KYC) info
* Shares your date of birth, address, SSN, and ID documents for verification purposes.
* Provides KYC verification status and the last verified date.
### Payment methods
* Allows the app to view your saved payment methods for transactions.
* Enables the saving of card details for quicker checkouts.
### Crypto wallet info
* Grants access to manage and transact with your crypto wallets.
* Permits the creation of on-ramp transactions for crypto purchases.
You can manage connected apps in the Link App, and revoke access at any time if you have concerns about data sharing.
## What data does Link access from my linked financial account?
With your consent, Link may access and store copies of the following financial information types from your account:
* Account details, including account number and routing number, account type, and account nickname
* Account balances, including current and pending balances
* Account transactions, including each transaction’s amount, currency, date, status, category, and description
* Account ownership details, including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and mailing address
Stripe and our service providers may also store your financial institution login credentials so we can connect to your financial account and regularly collect updated data that you’ve agreed to share. If Stripe obtains your financial institution login credentials, we don’t share them with your merchant.
