# Financial insights FAQ

Financial insights let you share selected financial information with an agent through Link. This information can help the agent make shopping recommendations based on your purchase history and answer questions about your transactions, balances, and connected accounts. You control which accounts and types of data the agent can access.
## **What financial information can I share with an agent?**
Depending on the permissions you approve, an agent can access:
* Transactions from Link and connected bank accounts or credit cards, including the amount, date, description, status, and spending category when available
* Current and available account balances
* Limited account details, including the bank or card issuer name, account type, and last four digits
## **What information can’t an agent access?**
An agent can’t access your bank login credentials, full bank account number, or routing number through financial insights.
The agent can’t access accounts you don’t select. You can choose to share accounts that you add to Link in the future.
## **How do I choose what to share?**
When you connect an agent, Link shows the financial information the agent is requesting. You choose which accounts to share and approve access before the agent can read the information.
You also have the option to automatically share accounts that you add to Link in the future. You can leave this option turned off and share additional accounts later.
## **Does sharing financial insights let an agent make purchases?**
No. Sharing financial insights doesn’t give an agent permission to make purchases. Purchase access is a separate permission that you must approve.
## **Who can use financial insights?**
Financial insights are available to Link customers in the United States.
## **Where can I see the agents connected to my Link account?**
Log in to Link, go to **Settings**, and select **Apps and agents**. From there, you can view or disconnect a connected agent.
## **How do I stop an agent from accessing new financial information?**
Disconnect the agent from your Link account:
1. Log in to Link.
1. Go to **Settings**.
1. Select **Apps and agents**.
1. Select the agent.
1. Select **View and disconnect app**.
After you disconnect the agent, it can’t access new information from the connected account. Disconnecting doesn’t delete information the agent already received. Contact the agent provider to request deletion of information it stores.
## **What’s the difference between disconnecting an agent and removing a bank account from my Link wallet?**
Disconnecting an agent stops its access to new financial data. Removing a bank account removes it from your Link wallet but doesn’t disconnect the agent. If you want to do both, disconnect the agent first. If you remove the bank account first, you’ll need to add it back to Link before you can disconnect the agent.
Follow the steps above in **How do I stop an agent from accessing new financial information?** and then then remove the bank account from Wallet:
1. Log in to Link.
1. Go to **Wallet**.
1. Select the saved bank account.
1. Select **Remove**.
Removing a bank account from Link doesn’t cancel subscriptions or payment plans associated with that account.
