# How can I keep my account secure?

Always double check the domain name and URL of the website you’re buying from before completing your purchase to avoid sending money to a fraudulent website or falling for phishing scams.
### Maintain account security
You can manage your account information by logging in to your [Link account](https://app.link.com) and following these steps:
1. Navigate to [Activity](https://app.link.com/purchases) to validate previous purchases
1. Navigate to [Setting](https://app.link.com/settings) --> **Login Activity** to view previous logins related to this account.

### Secure your account after suspicious activity
If you believe you've been the victim of a fraudulent attack, we recommend taking the following steps:
1. Report the transaction to your bank. They will be able to prevent the compromised payment method from being used elsewhere, and may be able to help you recoup stolen funds.
1. Reset the password for your email account, and use two-factor authentication, if you haven’t already. If the attacker was able to compromise your Link account, it’s possible that they did so by gaining access to your email.
