### How do I dispute a transaction?
To dispute a transaction, contact us via the phone number listed in your transaction receipt.
If you file a dispute, our team will follow up over email.
### How do I file a dispute for a purchase that didn’t go as planned?
You must first contact the business or store you made the purchase from and try to resolve the issue directly. Ask for a refund, correction, or another solution.
Examples of purchases that didn’t go as planned include the following:
* You did not receive your digital or physical goods.
* What you received is significantly different from what was described or is unfit for its intended purpose.
* The goods you received were damaged or corrupted.
* You were charged twice for an item.
* The amount charged was incorrect.
* You returned an item, but haven't received the promised refund.
* You were charged for a subscription you had already cancelled.
If you’re unable to come to a resolution with the business, you can call the phone number listed in your transaction receipt to file a dispute.
Gather all evidence ahead of time, which may include a record of all your communication with the business, receipts, invoices, proof of return tracking, photos of faulty or damaged items, and any other relevant documents.
### When can I dispute a transaction?
A transaction must be disputed within 60 days of when it first appeared in your Link payment history.
### How long will the dispute take?
Once you file a dispute, our team will investigate and reach out with an update via email within 10 business days. If we’re unable to complete the investigation within 10 business days, we’ll provide a provisional credit to your account while the investigation continues.
Provisional credits are only issued for eligible disputes and do not include disputes concerning goods and services not received or not as described. The investigation into these claims may sometimes take longer.
Some investigations can take up to 45 days. We’ll update you via the email address associated with your Link account once our investigation is complete.
### Why was my dispute denied?
If you believe your dispute was denied in error and you have additional information that we can use to revisit the decision, you can submit an appeal within 60 days of the dispute being denied.
Make sure to provide additional documentation to support your appeal. Decisions made on appeals are final and can’t be appealed further.
