# Link Offers FAQ

Link Offers provides special upgrade offers while checking out in online stores.
## What is Link?
Link is Stripe's consumer product that securely saves your payment details, like your card number, address, and email so you can check out faster at thousands of online stores.
## What was the offer I saw?
If you have a Link account, we may use transaction signals to provide you with personalized recommendations, such as subscription upgrades from merchants you already have a relationship with or are considering a purchase from. Learn more [here](https://link.com/privacy-center#link-offers).
## What happens when I redeem an offer?
When you click **Redeem**, your checkout updates in real time to reflect the upgraded plan with the discount applied. You completed checkout on the higher-tier plan with your promotional discount.
To view your updated subscription:
1. Sign in to [https://app.link.com/](https://app.link.com/)
1. Click the **Recurring** tab.
1. Select your **[Merchant Name]** subscription.
From there, you can view your updated plan and the offer that was applied.
**Note: For questions about your billing cycle, pricing, or plan details, please contact the merchant directly. The merchant manages your subscription and billing.**
## I redeemed by accident. What do I do?
* **If you are still on the checkout page:** Look for the **X** button to undo the upgrade and return to your original plan selection before completing checkout.
* **If you have already completed checkout:** Your subscription is governed by the merchant's terms of service and subject to their applicable policies. Contact the merchant directly for questions about plan changes, cancellations, or downgrades.
## Does anything change if I don't Redeem an offer?
No. If you didn't click **Switch Plan**, your checkout will proceed with your original plan selection. Nothing will change.
## How do I stop seeing these offers?
You can opt out of receiving personalized offers at any time either at checkout or in the app.
### At checkout:
* Click the opt-out link included directly in the offer unit on the checkout page.
### In Link app settings:
1. Sign in to [https://app.link.com/](https://app.link.com/).
1. Go to **Settings**.
1. Select **Notifications and promotions**.
1. Toggle off.
Once opted out, you will no longer see personalized offers during checkout. This will not affect your Link account, saved payment information, or any existing subscriptions. You can re-enable offers at any time by returning to your Link app settings.

## Troubleshooting
### The discount didn't apply after I clicked Redeem
1. Make sure you're signed into Link with the correct email address.
1. Make sure you completed the full checkout after clicking **Switch Plan**.
1. Clear your browser cache and cookies and try again.
1. Try a different browser (e.g., switch from Safari to Chrome).
If the discount still isn't reflecting, please reach out to us by clicking on **Contact Support** with:
* Your email address
* The merchant name and plan you were purchasing
* A screenshot of the checkout, if possible
* The browser and device you were using
* The approximate time of the attempt
### I got an error when I try to redeem
1. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
1. Try a different browser or device.
1. Wait a few minutes and try again.
If the error persists, select **Contact Support** to get in contact with an agent.
### I can't log in to Link to redeem an offer
* Make sure you're using the correct email associated with your Link account.
* If you didn't receive your verification code: check your spam folder, wait 60 seconds and try again.
* Try receiving the code via email instead of SMS.
If you completed checkout without claiming the offer due to a login issue, your original plan was purchased. The offer may reappear on a future checkout.
### Can I go back to my old plan after upgrading?
Your subscription is governed by the merchant's terms of service and subject to their applicable policies. For questions about plan changes, cancellations, or downgrades, please contact the merchant directly.
