# Link promotions

### What are Link promotions?
Link promotions are one-time offers available for qualifying purchases when you choose to pay with Link. When a Link promotion is available, you will see a green banner with the promotion offer amount on the specific payment method that it is eligible for during the checkout process.
### How does a Link promotion work?
Link promotions are issued in the form of a cash back. When completing the checkout process, the full amount of your purchase will be charged, but a cash back in the amount of the promotion offer will be deposited as a separate transaction back to the payment method you used to complete the purchase within seven business days.
If for any reason Link is unable to deposit a cash back to the original qualifying payment method, we will notify you about receiving the promotion offer in the form of a gift card instead.
