# Pix on Link

[Link](https://link.com/) provides Brazilian buyers a way to pay using **Pix**, a popular real time payment method in the country. US businesses with Link enabled will have the payment method at checkout for their Brazilian users.
## Do I need a Link account to pay using Pix?
Pix payments through Link apply only to transactions where Pix is offered via Link. Depending on whether a merchant requires a Link account, you may need to create one to use Pix; creating an account lets you store payment information securely and enjoy a seamless checkout experience across participating businesses.
## How can I pay using Pix on Link?
To pay using Pix on through Link, select Pix as your payment method during checkout. You'll need to create a Link account if you don’t have one. Once you add in your information (including Brazilian tax identifier and telephone number), you'll be shown a QR code or Pix string. Using your preferred banking app, scan the code and complete the payment.
## Country and currency availability
Paying with Pix on Link is available for Brazil consumers paying in BRL.
## Why does it say Ebanx on my receipt?
International businesses use Ebanx to securely process Pix transactions for Brazilian buyers. Even though you are paying the business you have a relationship with, Ebanx will still appear on your bank statement. Certain banks show the business name under the Message to Payor section of a Pix payment.
## Why do I see an IOF fee during my transaction?
IOF is a Brazilian tax applicable on all transactions that include a foreign currency exchange, for example, BRL to USD. If you are paying a non-Brazilian merchant, an IOF will be applied when you go to complete the transaction. The current rate is 3.5% of the transaction value. NB IOF fees are not returned in the case of a refund.
## What should I do if my Pay with Pix transaction fails?
Your payment method might have been declined because of issues with your payment method or bank such as:
* Insufficient funds
* You have reached your Pix monthly spend limit across merchants (10,000 USD)
* Incorrect payment details such as CPF, billing information.
To prevent any further interruptions while using Link, we suggest you:
* Ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account.
* Verify all of your payment details are correct and up to date within your [Link account](https://app.link.com/wallet).
* Add a back up payment method to your [Link account](https://app.link.com/wallet), which will be automatically charged in the event your default payment method is declined.
## How can I view my Pix transaction history?
View your Pix transaction history by logging into your Link account and selecting **Activity** from the left side panel. This will show all your past Pix payments.
