# What happens if suspicious crypto activity is detected on my account? 

If we detect suspicious crypto transactions on your account, we’ll send you an email asking you to confirm whether or not you initiated the given transaction. Depending on the details of the transaction, we may then take any of the following actions:
* Temporarily disable your Link account
* Remove the associated payment method from your Link account
* Block the destination wallet and device-specific information associated with the transaction

If your account has been subject to abuse, you should take the following additional actions to protect yourself:
1. **Report the transaction to your bank.** They will be able to prevent the compromised payment method from being used elsewhere, and may be able to help you recoup stolen funds.
1. **Reset the password** for your email account and **use two-factor authentication**. If the attacker was able to compromise your Link account, it is possible that they did so by gaining access to your email.
