# Why did I receive an email/SMS when I don’t have a Link account?

We use email and SMS to verify your identity when you use Link on a new site or new device.
If you receive an SMS but you did not request it, it is likely that you are being remembered on another device in which you have used Link before. You can take precautions by logging out of Link on all devices.
You can see your past purchases through Link by going to [**Activity**](https://app.link.com/activity).
If you don’t remember saving your information with Link during a previous purchase, you can [delete any Link account associated with your email](https://support.link.com/how-to-delete-your-saved-payment-information).
